Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: How much dry gel do I need to make a standard 16oz / 500g gel pack?

About 2.5–5g of the Temtro Dry Gel added to water. Add the Temtro Dry Gel to the water, and it will expand and create a gel within minutes. You can always adjust the amount of dry gel to change the consistency to your liking.

Q2: Does the SGP Additive make the gel packs more flexible or longer-lasting?

The SGP additive makes the ice pack flexible even when frozen. This makes it ideal for shipping delicate items and also for use with hot/cold compresses.

Q3: How much dye is needed per batch of gel?

Only a tiny amount of dye is needed — typically around 0.1% to 0.5% of the total gel weight. Adjust as necessary depending on the intensity of the color required.

Q4: Are the TEMTRO™ bags puncture-resistant and leak-proof?

TEMTRO™ bags boast puncture-resistant and leak-proof features. They ensure safety for long-term usage in both hot and cold working conditions.
